NASHVILLE – January 5, 2011 – CMT will host the exclusive world premiere of Lauren Alaina’s new video “Georgia Peaches” from her debut album Wildflower on Friday, January 6 at 8:00 a.m. ET/PT (repeats at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT). As part of the premiere, CMT will debut a 15-minute special CMT PREMIERES: LAUREN ALAINA – GEORGIA PEACHES which includes behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and more.
“Making the ‘Georgia Peaches’ video was a blast. I got to have some of my closest friends in the video. We were laughing and having a good time throughout the night. I love that I was able to have them there,” said Alaina on filming the video. “The song just spoke to me when I heard it. I felt like I could have written it myself. I am a proud Georgia Peach!”
Directed by David McClister, “Georgia Peaches” includes cameos by some of Alaina’s closest friends, and was filmed at the Sylvan Park Melrose restaurant in Nashville.
In addition to CMT, the video will air on CMT’s 24-hour all music channel, CMT PURE. CMT is the only country music network in the unique position to deliver world premiere exclusives to fans on demand, on multiple platforms.

Lauren is one of the best and most adorable singers to come along in any genre in a long time. She actually can SING really well — beautifully in fact. I hope that her career is long and succesful. She deserves this, whether or not she won Idol (which I totally thought she should have). Scotty just doesn’t have the vocal ability or range or versatility that Lauren does. LOVE HER.
